2. We do not store or monetize your personal or financial data

You can browse and use this website without an account, without paying and without giving us your name. We do not sell, rent or monetize your personal data, and we do not share it with sellers, agents, dealers, insurers or lenders.

During the free public beta, no payment or financial information is required or collected to use the guides, tools or calculators.

3. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser

Property links you paste and values you insert into our calculators are processed instantaneously, locally in your browser, to give you the results on screen. They are not saved on our servers or on any external server, and they are not linked to your identity.

When you paste a property link into a tool that reads listings, our server requests that public page to extract the information needed for your result. Your link is used only to generate the answer you asked for and is not used to build a profile about you.

4. Information you choose to send us

Submissions are kept no longer than needed to handle your request or prevent abuse, and are then deleted. They are never used for advertising.

• Contact form and AI assistant: if you contact us or use the AI assistant, we process what you type (and your email address, if you provide it) solely to reply or generate your answer.
• Health tool: any health-related details you optionally enter are used only to tailor your result. Please do not enter more than is necessary.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary browser storage to make the website work, for example to remember your chosen language between visits.

We may also use analytical cookies (such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics) to understand which pages are read and how the website is used, so we can improve your experience. This data is used in aggregate, is not used to identify you personally and is not used for advertising. Analytics that are not strictly necessary are used only with your consent; you can refuse without losing any feature. Our Cookie Policy explains this in detail.

6. Who receives data, and where

These recipients act as processors on our instructions or as independent controllers where the law makes them so. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on Standard Contractual Clauses, as required by the GDPR.

• Our hosting provider, which serves the website and its database.
• The AI model provider that generates answers in the AI assistant, processing only the text you submit for that purpose.
• Email providers, if you send us a message.
• Analytics providers, where you have consented to analytics.

7. Your rights under the GDPR

To exercise any right, email info@decideportugal.com. We respond within one month. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may complain to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority, or the authority in your country of residence.

• Access: confirmation of whether we process your data and a copy of it.
• Rectification: correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: deletion of your data where Article 17 applies.
• Restriction and objection: limiting or objecting to processing.
• Portability: receiving data you provided in a machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent: at any time, where processing is based on consent.

8. Security and children

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted transport and access controls. This website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
